I absolutely love lichfield and the cathedral is the jewel in its crown, a stunning building full of historical beauty, always uplifts my spirits when I'm down, I take my children there often, one of my most favourite places to be.

went to the garrick last night to see a fantastic tribute group called bye bye baby
a tribute to frankie valli & 4 seasons
they were absolutely wonderful in their own tribute way
the garrick was virtually full with very few seats empty
the backing musicians were equally as good

Visitors to the Cathedral may or may not be aware that the Cathedral currently offer a tour that allows you to go up the Cathedral within the Cathedral, which offers views of Lichfield.

We've been to the Cathedral numerous times, but never up the Cathedral.

We went on the 2pm tour and was advised it would last about an hour. It lasted almost two I believe. The tour guides were exceptional and extremely knowledgeable. They showed a great passion in their knowledge.

A note to anyone decicing to go up the Cathedral, there are quite a few steps, 160 on our tour I believe. However the architecture of this historical building is ingenious. The climb that we did was separated into two separate climbs. The steps up for those that don't know can be steep, but if you don't mind, they are amazing.

At the top thinking back, the view was incredible. The party were able to view the views in 4 directions I believe, however I only really did the one view in detail.

A really good afternoon, thank you to the Cathedral for this great offer.

The Cathedral isn't the only attraction that stole my heart! Lichfield itself did! The people are very friendly! This is my favorite part of England.........I will always go back!

From the outside the cathedral looks so magnificent. When you go in, all the guides make you feel so welcome. The windows are amazing. A truly wonderful experience.
The cafe opposite is also worth a visit. Excellent menu and tasty food.

Went to see the stained glass window which has recently been restored. Unfortunately we were on a tight schedule so really didn't see anything else. From the little we did see I can say that it's a beautiful cathedral and well worth a visit - I hope to return in future.

Large with lots of interesting history, well worth seeing out. Not far from the shops . As we were late getting there we didn't find a guide . Bit on the dark side inside .

Been here several times and witout wishing to sound grumpy it seems to me there's always a significant part of it covered in plastic sheets / boarded off due to repairs / renovations. That is the biased view of a photographer who is yet to get a decent full length shot of the inside.

As a 'non photographer' it is an amazing place that if nothing else you'll wonder "Just how did they build this?" Wel worth a visit - or two - or three.
