Having lived in Lichfield all my life and with American visitors arriving we wanted to take them to a place full of beauty and history. The cathedral does this every time. Inside and out it is so beautiful what is there not to like.

Staying with friends in West Midlands and this is their Cathedral that they attend. Very historical as well as beautiful. Had a wonderful time admiring the workmanship of this 400 + year old Christian site. We had the great privilege of attending service one Sunday while there and I would highly recommend going if you can at all. Parking in the older section of the village and walking down the cobblestone, tree lined street toward the Cathedral with the three towered bells ringing to call parishioners to service is something I will never forget and a once-in-a-lifetime event for me.

Despite the cathedral hosting ,in my opinion, a rather surprising "Strictly" charity event with loud music and scantily clad dancers, they managed to preserve the reverential attitude for the three services I attended over the weekend. The clergy and staff were approachable and communicative.

I come here quite often with my partner on a Sunday afternoon, it's always very popular and there's still always somewhere to sit whether inside the lovely barn type cafe or outside with views of the farm animals and good seating. Never had a bad experience and we love coming here. Their bread is to die for.

My partner dscovered this ;place when we were looking for somewhere to hold my father's wake. My dad was a truck driver and loved ti visit greasy spoon cafes whilst he was working but it didn't seem quite right to hold a wake in a truck stop cafe. The other problem was the fact that his funeral was at 9:30 which was a bit too early for a pub lunch. We visited the day before to see if it fitted in with what we wanted, turns out it was right on the mark. A nice country farm coffee shop with a fair few workers coming in for a nice fry up. We spoke to the manageress on duty and arranged to have a quiet section reserved for us. The food was amazing, the hot chocolate with the works being especially good, and so were the portion sizes. The staff were lovely and came and took out order instead of having us queue up. THe emnu is very extensive and if you an't find anything on the menu then I would be amazed. The prices are extremely reasonable and the place is lovely and clean. Whilst there you can also pop out and see the chickens, donkey, cow and llamas.
All in all this was a fitting tribute for my late father and we will be returning soon to sample more of the delicious food. The cream scones look extremely tempting.
