Staff were very helpful from start to finish, only downside being shown to our seats when it was suggested we used a different door to the one stated on the ticket, only to find if we had used the door stated on the ticket it would have been easier. Bottles of soft drinks were expensive and they didn't have any of the ones that were displayed. None of this took away any of the excitement the children had. The performance was excellent and seats perfect for us. We were front row circle. Grandchildren aged 11, 8 and 6 loved every minute but would have liked to participate in booing at Hook or even shouting "I do, I do, I do believe in fairies". They thoroughly enjoyed it though and were quite mesmerised, with very little fidgeting. My 6 year old granddaughter loved that she met the wife of the tallest pirate, who had sat next to us and got chatting to in the interval, and she fixed her eyes on him for quite sometime. Her favourite part of the show was obviously when Peter Pan flew across the stage.
I don't think you could single out any of the actors, they were all amazing, from the lost boys to Peter Pan. Well worth the visit.

its a venue thats not really designed to be a venue. The way its all mapped out doesn't make sense, and if its a full house the bar cannot handle the number of patrons. People pre order their drinks for a show, knowing that it will be busy. I haven't heard of anything more ridiculous. I dont know what I will feel like to drink until the day, so I tried the bar, and it was just full of angry patrons trying to get served. Next time Ill go to Birmingham for a show, it will be less hassle, and the venue can actually handle people to go in before a show, without the feeling of being pushed out onto the curb.

This theatre is rented out to groups and organisations which wish to hire the venue. from local amdram and musical societies, to brass band, single artists and pantomime, there is something to suit everyone. Prices are reasonable (not the ice creams). The stalls has more space between the rows, seats are comfortable. There is a lift and two bars. there is only one entrance/exit. Accoustics are not brilliant, and the boards are noisy when a ballet company performs, but it is a good night out at a reasonable price.

The peace when we visited on the Saturday and the a wonderful Sung Eucgarist on the Sunday. There was a visiting Choir from the USA, also staying at the George Hotel which rounded off the whole visit as my wife is a choir leader.

The architecture, the long history, the nearby pools, the music, the staff -- all made for a wonderful atmosphere. I didn't want to leave.

The cathedral is in a wonderful setting on its hill above Lichfield and a good set of buildings around it. The West Front is an incredible Victorian re-imagining of what a Gothick Cathedral should be. The detail is great, with a plethora of Kings, Saints and Church Fathers. The proportions don't work for me though. The central gable is pinched between the rather squat towers. Inside, the length of the nave and chancel are really impressive.

There are a few medieval fragments dotted around, the Chapter House in particular, but what caught my eyes was the wealth of Victorian details which overlay everything with rich, detailed ornamentation. The Pulpit, Altar Rails and Reredos are all masterpieces in their own right.

If you like Victorian bling, you'll love Lichfield.

Nice City too - well worth a visit.
