Everyone needs to visit this place. Run by volunteers, it is very well kept and laid out. It is free to go into 150 landscaped acres that contain memorials to Associations of Military bodies. Donations are appreciated.

Visited the National Memorial Arboretum yesterday. It is a wonderful, tranquil, beautiful place. It sits in 150 acres and offers lots of things to lots of people, but something to everybody. Firstly greeted by knowledgeable staff who can point you in the right direction. The entrance hall is impressive and you can just look around and reflect on the past. There is a lovely shop, a good cafe and a separate coffee shop just across the courtyard. Because the weather was horrible we went on the land train tour, covered and dry, jam packed with information about monuments that we passed. Also our driver was entertaining and knowledgeable. It lasts about 45 - 50 minutes and well worth the £6 price for adults. We are going to return and walk around so you can get right up to the memorials and read the plaques. Its not just older war campaigns, the Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan and not just about the military. The Fire Brigade, Police and Ambulance along with many other civilian bodies. Please visit, pay the car parking at £3.00 for a full day, and try to spend as much as you can as the upkeep is a lot of money and the Arboretum gets no public money.

Wonderful memories of the visit to commemorate the D-Day 75th anniversary great time spent with the people whose were involved with this and there friends and family together with the presence of Prince William. Thoroughly recommend the place and great memories of the event still linger and remember that we must not forget them!!!

What an excellent way to spend a day, and reflect on what are brave service men and women did for us all.

Love this place. Very evocative atmosphere. More than a memorial to the armed forces. Good food in the restaurant.
