Quarterly Prize Draw - 2 Great Prizes
Visitors to our site may have been unaware when giving recommendations and testimonials that they are automatically entered into the quarterly prize draw. On this occasion we had two competitions on at the same time to help us build up our own knowledge as to which businesses are the exceptional top 10% in Crosby, Waterloo, Blundellsands and Thornton - the businesses that we want to support and promote.
To list them all would not be feasible but now we know alot more about how the people of Crosby feel and judge the small businessses in our community.
Today we have randomly selected 2 names from the people who have given testimonials, recommended new businesses to us on site or emailed us directly with recommends.
We put the names of each individual occurence into the hat. So some prolific recommenders/testimonial writers actually stood the chance to win both prizes.
All our data is protected and we only have access to the First name and initial of the people who register on site.
We have contacted Simon C, who came out of the hat first via email and who actually gave a testimonial for Saffron we believe - Anyway. bad news for him and good news for his partner who won £50 to spend on Beauty treatment at one of the businesses who came out as most recommended - more to follow.
Second out of the hat was Sharron P - which delighted us as we had a good idea who this was as she is one of the prolific recommenders who have embraced what we are about at thebestofcrosby - didnt need any detective work here but Sharron recommended 6 local businesses / organisations and has also had great input in entering Events on site for the good of us all.
Sharron won a Meal for 4 with wine at our Sponsor Restaurant Saffron in St Johns Road - this is a great place believe me!
Congratulation to both winners - We start our BUY LOCAL campaign starting 8th March and we will want more audience participation for that. We have already started a Prize Draw for the next quarter based on recommends only - to win £50 to spend at their choice of local business that features on our site and that has been recommended by YOU!
