Everton's Latin motto Nil Satis Nisi Optimum is to return to the club crest next season after a consultation exercise with fans.
The inscription was removed in a redesign for the new season but soon brought a backlash from traditional fans.
A quick survey carried out by the club proposed gthree designs and 78% of fanschose the winning badge.
Manager Roberto Martinez said: 1We have listened to the fans and taken everything on board."
Public relations company Kenyon Fraser says: "Evetonians clearly want any new crest to represent akey element of the club's tradition while understanding the need for it to work well in the digital age across a range of brand applications.
"We will be taking this into the design stage."
Desing options will be open for comment between September 23 and October 1 prior to the new unveiling.
The phrase masn nothing but the best is good enough.
