The former joint manager of Liverpool Gerard Houllier has been admitted into hospital after falling ill on April 20th. The 63 year old Aston Villa manager is staying in Birmingham and is currently his condition has been described as comfortable.
The current Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish was one of the first of many mangers to send their best wishes to Houllier. Dalglsih said that health is more important than anything. And he also went on to say that he was sure the Frenchman was in the best hands.
Houllier needed major surgery back in 2001 when he suffered with a heart problem while he was managing Liverpool. During that time the club Doctor Mark Waller worked alongside him and Dalglish revealed that Dr. Waller was at the hospital with him. Dalglish did state that there was no need to be morose about the matter as it is still unclear as to what the problem is, although he was pleased that he is in the right hands.
Tony Pulis the current Stoke manager also send his best regards wishing Houllier a speedy recovery. And Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini said that he hoped his friend would come out of hospital quickly.
