Sponsor – a – slate
The St Tudno Church on the Great Orme, Llandudno, is in need of a new roof and the 500th slate has just been donated by The Reverend Andrew John, The Bishop of Bangor.
It is estimated that 1000 slate tiles will be required to re-roof the church so Canon John Nice, Rector of St Tudno’s Church, together with the Friends of St Tudno’s Church are inviting supporters to pay £10.00 per slate.
By sponsoring a slate you can have your name, or that of someone whom you would like to remember, engraved on the slate when the roof is repaired. All sponsors are invited to enter their names, and any messages, into a book which will become part of the parish archive and will thus be a more accessible record of contributors.
