Loughborough's Gorse Covert Shopping Centre has been sold to Metric Property Investments for a fee of £16.8 million.
No noticeable change is likely as Morrisons supermarket will continue to rent the entire centre (the rent is £1m per year) and sub-let the smaller units.
Apparently commercial property is looking to be a good investment at the moment (which seems odd considering the economic downturn) so if you've got a few million to spare it might be worth a dabble.
Hint: Don't buy The Rushes :)
