According to mouseprice.com the most expensive road in LE11 is Snells Nook Lane, with an average house price of over £486k, but does that make it the most desirable road to live on? Handy for the golf course I guess, but personally I'd prefer a quieter location, such as the 2nd-most expensive Cricket Lane (there's a theme as you can see - golf, cricket...).
Interestingly even Snells Nook Lane would only come 9th on the list if you factor in the LE12 postcode, with Buddon Lane in Quorn averaging over £800k. Phew.
But where are the affordable but nice parts of town to live, for normal people without the big money? My wife likes Gladstone Avenue - close to the town centre but very quiet, cul-de-sac, some houses back onto Limehurst School field, and has a "village-y feel" she says. And an average value of just £191k - sounds great! Pity I've just bought a house somewhere else!
