Waveney District Council, in partnership with Norfolk and Waveney Enterprise Services (NWES), Waveney Business Forum and the Federation of Small Businesses, are launching a new project aimed at supporting new, start up and established businesses in Lowestoft and Waveney.
The Waveney Business Support Voucher Scheme will provide Lowestoft and Wavaeny businesses with a voucher enabling them to access quality business advice, skills training and networking events.
The advice will delivered by an accredited business adviser from the local enterprise agency NWES and will be in the form of 2 sessions; the first being an initial general/diagnostic session and then a follow up session for more specific tailored support.
The advice could range from core business areas such as legal issues, operations, budgeting, bookkeeping and access to finance to marketing and using social media tools. The tailored support could be in the form a skills training course or networking event and these will be delivered by local providers such as NWES and the Chamber of Commerce.
The project was officially launched on Tuesday 4th December 2012 in Lowestoft, where a range of business support organisations were also present including HMRC, Barclays Bank, Lovewell Blake, JobCentre Plus.
A series of drop in sessions will take now place around the Lowestoft and Waveney area in the new year where the NWES advisor will available to discuss any business issues and also administer the vouchers.
To check your eligibility and to book your initial advice session please contact NWES on 0845 60 99 99 1 or email info@nwes.org.uk (please quote Waveney Voucher Scheme when contacting NWES).
