Many people in Lowestoft have grown up with Sgt. Peppers Restaurant - taken there for a birthday meal as a kid, celebrating with their mates and then taking their own children there too...
And now this iconic Lowestoft restaurant has reached the grand old age of 30.
To celebrate, owner and founder, Mike Power threw a street party and all were welcome.
Over 200 people gathered outside Sgt. Peppers as the High Street was closed to traffic and the party-goers were able to cross the road on the new, but temporary, zebra crossing.
Mike and his son Michael welcomed and mingled with guests as their staff posed for photos and served dinks from the bar at 1982 prices!
Everyone I spoke to all said the same of Sgt. Peppers and why it was such a cornerstone ofLowestoft's leisure industry. And put quite simply it boils down to good food, great atmosphere and fantastic staff - a recipe that has been followed for the last 30 years.
So a big 'Congratulations' to Mike and his team for a great evening and here's to the next 30 years!
