Stay Safe in the Sun on Lowestoft Beach.

Now that the sun has finally made an appearance here in Lowestoft, don't forget to use sun cream, or lotion or spray or whatever your preference is.

Down on Lowestoft beach this week, the sun was shining but there was a slight breeze, fooling people into thinking they didn't need to slap on the sun cream.

Sun cream has a shelf life of 2-3 years, as long as it is not kept in the heat.  So if you're taking a coolbox for your picnic, put your sun cream in there too.

You should always use at least a SPF factor 15 for adults and a minimum of SPF factor 30 for children.  Re-applygenerously every 2 hours, or more frequently if you have been brave and ventured into Lowestoft sea water!

Try to get your children to wear a hat and sun glasses, this will protect their eyes and heads from the harmful rays.  UV protection t-shirts and clothing are another great idea, tried and tested by manybeach goers in Lowestoft, they give full protection to the covered areas.

We do have to make the most of the sunny weather here in Lowestoft but please do it in a safe way, cover up, slap on the sun screen, wear your sunglasses and hats and  HAVE FUN SAFELY IN THE SUN !!
