Get Safe Online is a joint initiative between the government, law enforcement, leading businesses and the public sector. Their aim is to provide computer users and small businesses with free, independent, user-friendly advice that will allow them to use the internet confidently, safely and securely.
The Get Safe Online website, http://www.getsafeonline.org/, provides lots of useful information about scams, frauds and how to stay safe. It includes travel tips and information about identity theft, smartphones, rogue apps, PC protection and much more including downloadable leaflets and an online quiz to test your knowledge.
NHWN has recently met with representatives from Get Safe Online and we hope that this will lead to a productive partnership as we discuss ways in which the two organisations can usefully work together.Neighbourhood Watch schemes are community initiatives that are supported by the police but not owned or run by them.
