Gilmorton Village Store is in danger of losing its National Lottery terminal because not enough people are using it!
I know that fewer people buy Lottery tickets these days but I suspect many who do still buy, like me (yes, I'm guilty, hand up!), now buy their tickets online.
Yes, if you're on the internet, it's easy and convenient, but I guess losing the Lottery terminal is another local service lost which hits hard for both those local people who don't use online services and the shop & Post Office itself. People have to go elsewhere to buy their ticket, they also do their other shopping at that place too.
Alison & David have a petition to sign in the shop if you would like to support their efforts to keep their Lottery terminal (or please respond to this blog with your support and I will pass it on), but better still, why not follow me this Saturday and buy your ticket from the shop??!! If they sell enough tickets, they'll keep it anyway!
