So... lots of chatter on the internet and Twitter this morning about the fact that Tesco is looking at Lutterworth.
It's reported that they would like a 20-30,000 sq ft store in the town and rumours have long been around that the Vedonis works on Leicester Road could be a possible site.
Apparently the town council planners are to have an informal meeting with Tesco to discuss their plans.
Estimates have been made that a store of that size would bring 100 new jobs to the town, and I'm sure there will be local people who would welcome Tesco in this area.
On the other hand, there will be the usual concerns about the effect another large supermarket could have on the town centre shops.
Me? I'm sticking to my 2010 resolution - I don't shop at Tesco, ever. Neither do I use Morrisons or Asda. There's much I don't like about these companies and having them local in Lutterworth would not change that.
But what do you think? Would you like tesco to come to Lutterworth?
