The students that took part were: Drew Green (Y12), Eva Maddison, Ellie Burke, Rhea Auton, Ben Sherwood, Rhys Pope and Ruth Cleverdon (all Y10s).
All students worked really hard to achieve their two-course celebration meal in the 90 minute cooking time allowed. Not only did students have to cook but they also had to create a menu, a time plan, work out the costings for their meal and also plan how it would be presented – not an easy task. They should all be commended for their organisational skills which meant that they all finished on time.
The placings were as follows:
1st Place - Eva Maddison(A9)
2nd Place – Ellie Burke (C4)
3rd Place Drew Green (F5)
All students did a brilliant job and
it’s a shame that there is only three winning places available.
The competition is supported by the Rotary Club and both Eva and Ellie have now qualified for the Rotary Club Young Chef Competition regional final at the Samworth Academy in February 2015.
Shy retiring (!) red-head, working hard to showcase everything great about our town and villages. Loves her son, her man & Bruce Springsteen (but not always in that order!)
