Established in 1955, the Macclesfield Male Voice Choir has been providing essential support to local charitable organisations by performing in fundraising events for the past five decades. We perform virtually every month at local and international concerts, residential homes and weddings, and our wide repertoire encompasses a range of styles, from opera to popular musicals.

With over 60 members from all walks of life, we offer a warm welcome to any male who would like to join the choir and become involved in the friendship, fun and camaraderie that comes with it.

Join Us

You don't necessarily need to be able to read music or have experience of singing in a choir; as long as you have a passion for music and are committed to being part of a lively and dedicated group, you will be greeted with a smile at the Macclesfield Male Voice Choir!

We operate a 'buddy system'; new members are partnered with an experienced chorister, who will introduce them to the group and help them learn music.

Charitable Events

The Macclesfield Male Voice Choir has held and performed at a wide variety of concerts in aid of local and regional charities, including:

• CALL at the Royal Northern College of Music
• Leonard Cheshire Homes
• 'Action for Children'

The Macclesfield Male Voice Choir also regularly entertains residents at a number of residential homes in and around Macclesfield, particularly during the festive period.

Touring

Being part of the Macclesfield Male Voice Choir is never dull!

We have toured the United Kingdom, from Brikham to Edinburgh via the Welsh town of Carmarthen. Internationally, our members have performed in:

• Ireland
• Germany
• Denmark
• Czech Republic
• Canada

Weddings

Ensure that your church wedding is truly unforgettable with the help of the Macclesfield Male Voice Choir.

Between 20 and 30 of our members will join you at your wedding to enhance the singing of your chosen congregational hymns. The Choir can also entertain your guests with selected songs during appropriate times in the Service (before the Service, signing the register etc).
