Marie Curie Cancer Care aims to provide high quality nursing, totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families.
Established in 1948 - the same year as the NHS - Marie Curie Cancer Care mainly cares for people with cancer; however, our Nurses also provide support for patients with other life limiting illnesses.
Although a national charity, our fundraising is very much locally based and all the money raised in Cheshire and North Staffordshire is put straight back into the Marie Curie nursing service for that area.
We currently have around 16 Marie Curie Nurses caring for patients in the Cheshire area. Over 200 patients were cared for by Marie Curie nurses in this area last year.
However, in order for this care and support to continue, we need the help of the community. From fundraising to voluntary work, why not get involved and make a real difference to people with cancer and their families in your area?
