Sedgley Park v Macclesfield - Saturday 7th May 2011 kick off 2pm
This weekend Macclesfield make the short journey north to face local rivals Sedgley Park in National League One and with much more than bragging rights at stake it will surely make for a fascinating encounter.
The Blues secure an impressive 48-24 home win against Stourbridge last time out where as hosts Sedgley suffered a heavy 78-23 defeat at the hands of Cambridge meaning relegation is still a very realistic prospect for the club.
Having played 29 games, winning 12, drawing one and losing 16 Sedgley now sit third from bottom in the table and have just one game left to save themselves. In the reverse fixture earlier in the season Sedgley secured a shock 23-21 victory at Priory Park which will still be very fresh in the minds of all Macc players and they’ll certainly be out for revenge.
The Blues should be at near enough full strength for their penultimate game of the season, fly half Tom Eaton suffered a knock to the head against Stourbridge but should be fully fit for the trip to Manchester.
