Registered charity, the Talking Newspaper, has been tirelessly bringing news to the blind community in the area since its formation way back when in 1974.
Volunteers spend hours of their free time collating 80 minute tapes of the latest news, events and hot topics from the Macclesfield Express for nearly 300 people!
They have provided an important lifeline in the community for what can sometimes be an extremely lonely disability, and volunteers to the cause are always welcome to the entirely donation funded venture, which takes place at the Macclesfield Eye Society.
