18 year old Macclesfield local Bronte Barbe has successfully made her way into the final ten contestants of BBC1's highly popular 'Over the Rainbow' talent show.
The show, which aims to find a new Dorothy for Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of The Wizard of Oz, has proved an instant hit with viewers and Bronte who hails from Tytherington in Macclesfield could be set for stardom after singing and dancing her way into the final pool of hopefuls.
The next show takes place on Saturday 10th April at 7pm on BBC1, with the remaining ten West End starlets performing live in the studio.
