The best meats to use with a slow cooker are the least expensive cuts. The slow cooking breaks down the fibres and you can make a fully flavored dish of casserole or stew. Prep. time is counted in minutes. Whatever the occasion, a family dinner, or friends round for supper on a cold winter night you will be sure to impress. My favorite beef cut is Chuck Steak followed by Lamb Shank. You can use Chicken but make sure the slow cooker heats to a sufficiently high temperature. Not all of them do.
