A new care home in Sale has announced the appointment of its home manager.
Care UK has appointed Daniel Cole as home manager at Oakfield Croft, on Oakfield.
Daniel will lead the team at the new care home when it opens in winter 2019, having previously spent over twenty years working within the care sector.
After starting his career aged just 15 on a work placement at a residential home, Daniel knew the care industry was for him and became a care assistant aged 16. He has since worked his way up to home manager.
Daniel’s new position will see him take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Oakfield Croft, which will accommodate up to 60 residents.
During his career, Daniel has focused his approach to management on building the right team, and implementing his visions and values to ensure day-to-day standards are high, and residents are supported to live independent and fulfilled lives.
Commenting on his new position, Daniel said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the home manager at Oakfield Croft, and I am excited to lead a skilled and supportive team when we open the doors later this year.
“To be a successful home manager you need to be able to trust your team in order for them to work efficiently, and I will support the team to feel empowered to achieve success and make a difference. I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter here in Sale.
“More than anything, I am excited to get to know and spend time with the residents, knowing they are having an enjoyable and fulfilled time at a happy home.”
Due to open in winter 2019, the purpose-built care home, which will feature 60 ensuite bedrooms, has been designed to enable its residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The care home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities and will include its own cinema, hairdressing salon and coffee shop. Oakfield Croft will deliver a full range of residential and nursing care for older people, including short-term respite care and specialist care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
