From bunny hops to dino stomps, Westwood Cross is preparing for a long weekend of activities to keep the kids entertained this Easter bank holiday.

From a visit by the Easter Bunny to live music by local buskers, and a ‘roar-some’ trail of pre-historic creatures waiting to be discovered - the atmosphere at the Broadstairs shopping centre is set to be abuzz with Easter celebrations over the long weekend.

For one day only, the Easter Bunny will be hopping down to Westwood Cross handing out small Easter eggs and offer selfie opportunities, giving families the opportunity to capture cherished moments with their little ones. Find the Easter Bunny at the Community Hub, by Next, between 1pm-5pm on Saturday 19 April.

Throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, Westwood Cross will come alive with the sound of live music as local buskers perform at the centre’s dedicated Busk Stop, located outside the Community Hub. The initiative will be launched by local singing sensation Eleanor Golding, with her first performance taking place on Thursday 17 April from 10am. She will return for a second set on Saturday morning (19 April), followed by an afternoon performance from Phoebe McNamara, starting at 1pm.

The Westwood Cross dinosaur trail is soon set to make a stomping return, bringing its popular prehistoric friends back to the shopping centre.

Guests are invited to embark on a Jurassic journey to track down all the life-sized dinosaurs, including Bernard the Parasaurolophus, Camilla the Stegosaurus, Charles the Dilophosaurus, and Boris, the fearsome T-Rex.

Families can snap selfies along the way and uncover fun facts about each dino. With plenty of roar-some surprises in store, it’s the perfect free activity to entertain little explorers throughout the spring and summer.

Fran Donovan, Centre Director at Westwood Cross, said “We’re thrilled to be bringing a packed line-up of family-friendly fun to Westwood Cross this Easter Bank Holiday.

“From the return of our much-loved dinosaur trail, to live music performances by local talent and a special visit from the Easter Bunny, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

“Westwood Cross is a hub for the local community, and we look forward to welcoming guests for a weekend of celebration, discovery, and plenty of photo-worthy memories.”
