With bonfire night almost upon us, we thought we’d list out some of the local organised displays we’re aware of for you to choose from.
On Friday November 2nd, and in Market Harborough itself, we have the display at Market Harborough Rugby Club
A little further afield is the annual Rainbows Festival of Fireworks, all in aid of the children’s hospice, being held on Saturday November 3rd at Leicester Racecourse in Oadby.
We have 5 free tickets to give away for this event – just give us a recommendation for a local tradesperson (plumber, electrician, plasterer, decorator etc.) and we’ll be drawing the winner on Thursday!
Further afield still, but all in a good cause, is the LOROS Fireworks Extravaganza and Bonfire at Mallory Park – also on Saturday November 3rd
More locally in Kibworth we have the Kibworth & Fleckney Rotary Club’s Firework & Bonfire Spectacular in aid of Kibworth Scouts, Guides, St Wilfrid’s Youth Group and Kibworth & Smeeton Juniors Football Club. This one is also on Saturday 3rd.
Glebe Garden Centre’s annual Family Bonfire Night is also on Saturday November 3rd
If the traditional November 5th night is what you’re after, then try the Bonfire Night & Fireworks in Wilbarston or the 12th Annual Charity Foxton Bonfire & Fireworks Display at The Shoulder of Mutton, in aid of 1st Foxton Scouts, Gumley Cricket Club and Foxton Playgroup.
If you’re going out and about enjoying the bonfires and fireworks, please don't forget to look after your pets and keep them indoors over the weekend - with displays happening from Friday through to Monday it will be a frightening time for them.
Finally, if you're having your own bonfire, please be careful, stay safe, and don't forget to check under the bonfire for hedgehogs before you light it!
