Firstly, I'd like to thank Ian Bisset of TRAVEL COUNCILLORS LTD in Market Harborough who has reminded me that the price of a renewed British Passport is set to rise by up to 17% on March 27th!
On this day, an ADULT passport will go from £72.50 to £85.00.
Now, as Ian points out, you can renew your passport if you have 9 months left, and that 9 months will be carried over.
So, if your British passport is due to expire before 27th December 2018, it might be worth renewing it before 27th March this year. You'll beat the price increase and you won't lose any months.
Another tip is to RENEW YOUR PASSPORT ONLINE - it's cheaper than applying by post.
As one supermarket says, 'every little helps' but in this case it's a saving well worth making.
