Good Friday this year was all about LOCAL when it came to the people of Rothwell ( just South of Market Harborough )
Every Year, Churches together in Rothwell organises a faith lunch to raise money for charity. This lunch is served in the Trinity Centre in Rothwell, immediately after the Good Friday churches together service in the main town market square.
All food and drink supplies were donated by local businesses, and the specific thanks go out to ;
Pictured here is John Hill - President of the Chamber of Trade for Market Harborough and our daughter Katie showing off some of the kindly donated fresh produce. Shortly after this picture was taken, John was kindly elbow deep in peeling and chopping carrots for the carrot and corriander soup !!
The event was a huge success, following the outdoor service in the Market Square, a lunch of soup, bread and cheese was served to over 30 local people, and in excess of £180 was raised for Christian Aid.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event, helped with the cooking or clearing up.
Natalie Hill - Secretary, Rothwell Holy Trinity PCC
