These days we're all photographers. The digital age, along with smart phones and editing software, means we all think we can have a go at producing a decent photo. And for parents (and grandparents) it's never been easier to amass a huge amount of photos of the children, recording every little moment of their lives from when they are born (and before!).
However, here at thebestof, we work and spend quite a lot of time with professional photographers and we know there is still a massive difference between us casual snappers and a professional shot, I am sure most parents would agree - we all still love to have pro shots of our little ones.
I recently met a local photographer who specialises in photographing children and babies - but with a difference! Her name is Kyra Williams of Firetree Photography, based in Market Harborough and, rather than use a studio, Kyra loves to photograph children either in their own homes or outdoors in a favourite location. Kyra has two youngsters of her own and she obviously understands how to get the best out of both kids and their parents. She also provides all the other services you'd expect of a photographer, such as weddings. But she has a speciality - she takes underwater photos of your children and babies!
Kyra's underwater pics are stunning! And she really cares so much about the quality of her output - on the day I went to see her, she was agonising over the colour of the water and the skintone on a recent shoot. They all looked fantastic to me but she knew exactly what she wanted and was determined to get a print that matched her requirements.
I love this pic we've included here (© FireTree Photography published with permission) and there's a few more on our facebook page here
If you're interested in Kyra's services, take a look at her website http://www.firetreephoto.co.uk/ and give her a call - she's a lovely lady!
