If you've ever wanted to be involved in a ghost hunt, then this might be the event for you - and you can help raise funds for Rainbows Hospice at the same time!
A 'Fright Night' will take place on Saturday 22nd October at The Leicester Guildhall, which is reputedly Leicester’s most haunted building.
More than 30 participants will join a paranormal investigation team for an action packed evening until the early hours and raise money for Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young People.
Five ghostly residents have been seen at The Guildhall and visitors have reported items of furniture and books being moved as well as heavy footsteps being heard. Mediums have reportedly picked up various presences including the most frequent visitor “The White Lady”, a Cavalier in the Great Hall, a phantom dog in the courtyard and something evil in the prison cells.
The event will include vigils throughout the night with psychic medium, demonstration and use of scientific equipment, spooky supper, refreshments throughout the night and discussion at the end to discuss ghostly experiences.
The cost is £45 per person and people are being asked to get sponsored for taking part.
This is a great way to support Rainbows who provide hospice care for children & young people throughout Leicestershire.
Event Organiser, Cathy Bown, from Rainbows said “The Guildhall is a perfect location for our ghost hunt. It is a timber framed building built over 600 years ago which takes on a very different feel when the lights go out. The scariest bit about the night for me is that anything could happen and I really hope that anyone who thinks they are brave enough gets involved and supports us.”
