Burrough Hill Iron Age Fort

Burrough Hill stands almost 700 feet above sea level and is one of the highest hills in east Leicestershire. From its summit, which is crowned by an impressive Iron Age hill fort, there are extensive views over the surrounding countryside.
Archaeological evidence show that the camp was constructed at some time in the last few centuries B.C.
