Other than at peak periods, when traffic queues can stretch back a couple of hundred yards at the three way temporary lights on the junction of Cheddar Road and the A371, the impact of works to date have been fairly minimal.
Even during these peak periods, most waiting traffic is getting through after one or two light changes so the delays so far have been relatively slight.
With local schools breaking up for the Christmas holidays over the next few days, the level of traffic is likely to fall as the school run drops out of daily traffic flow.
So in summary, so far so good.
Merry Christmas to the workmen undertaking the works from all at thebestof Mendip and the Hills.
