Mendip District Council have recently implemented a revised Street Trading Policy which must now be adhered to by businesses wishing to sell goods on the street. The effective date of the policy is the 5th December 2016.
The Council has introduced the policy in order to formalise how it will manage and control street trading so as to ensure minimal disruption on streets and to neighbourhoods whilst maintaining the safety of those using such facilities. The policy document is available via this link.
Further details, including links to the required forms needed to obtain consent to trade, are available via the District Council website which may be accessed here. Details of the charges applicable are also available via this link.
