The non-stop, overtime workplace culture of our modern lifestyles is damaging millions of adult’s sleep cycles across the UK, with as many as 16 million of us reportedly suffering from sleepless nights. Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio in Stony Stratford is helping the residents of Milton Keynes combat tossing and turning throughout the night by switching off mind & body in an upcoming ‘Sleep Well’ workshop.

Designed to bring a new understanding of sleep and rest that so many adults neglect, the one-off class on Sunday 25th November, between 1-5pm, will explore techniques from meditation, somatic movement and yoga nidra that can be applied every evening. Recent studies showing as a nation our average sleep time is just 6.8hrs each night when the ideal is between 7-9hrs.
Deborah Berryman Yoga Teacher and Founder of Whitespace Studio comments: “Quality sleep is the foundation to both our physical and mental health, affecting everything from our skin to our weight, to our job and relationships. As the ultimate reset button, sleep gives our body the time to heal, recover and discharge stress.”
