These shows help raise much needed funds for Europe’s biggest and best free music festival, the Monmouth Festival. Tickets will go on sale at the theatre from 9am. Prices are £17.50 (Sean Lock), £15 (Alistair McGowan), and £15 (Phill Jupitus), and it’s cash only, no cheques or credit cards.
Laughing is a great way to help the festival but if you want to be a bit more involved there are plenty of opportunities and the team would love to hear from you. You can help behind the scenes, during the run up, meet the bands and have a fabulous 9 days. Enthusiasm and a love of music are the only essential qualification. Lottie came on board a couple of years ago and last year was the stage manager. This is what she says.
“My favourite things about the festival are seeing the carpark full of people dancing, laughing and having a wicked time, hearing bands exclaim when they come offstage that the atmosphere in Monmouth is better than at any festival they’ve ever played at ever! Knowing that I’ve done something to make Monmouth better! Details of the volunteer opportunity day are coming soon.
Let’s not forget Valentine’s is nearly here. We all like something for nothing and by recommending your favourite local businesses, restaurants and retailers, you will be in with a chance of winning a prize every day throughout the 14 days of love. The first prize will be on Friday 1st February so don’t delay – show your love. 14 days of love cards are available in shops and restaurants and from the best of office on the old Monnow Bridge.
