Monmouth Town Junior Football Tournament             23 /24 June 2012

We need your help!

Our summer junior football tournament, held on the Monmouth Comprehensive School playing fields, is our main event of the year. Last year 175 teams entered and this is one of the main income streams for the junior club. A successful tournament helps reduce subscription fees.

To make this event a success we rely on a large number of parents and older children volunteering to help out. If we get sufficient assistance it should be an enjoyable weekend for all coaches, parents and players.

We need your support for the following tasks.

Car parking,

Manning the barbeque

Selling food and refreshments

Tournament admin / registration

Setting up pitches and goals

Clearing up after the event

Selling raffle tickets

Refereeing non-competitive games

Organising and running side stalls

Clearly you will want to watch the session when your child is playing, but we would be grateful if you could help out during other sessions. The sessions are.

Sat 23rd Jun AM - U9, U7s

Sat 23rd Jun PM - U12,U13,U14 U6

Sun 24th Jun AM - U10, U8

Sun 24th Jun PM - U11 U8 pm session

If you are able to help please let your child’s coach know when you are available, the sort of things you would be happy to do and any experience you have from previous tournaments.

Please also get in touch if you have particular skills or services you are able to offer, which would benefit the tournament  e.g. organise side stalls – (face painting, penalty shoot- out, children’s play area etc) or can loan equipment (e.g. gazebo /marquee, catering equipment etc).

Sponsorship Opportunities

With nearly 200 teams, as well as their families, coaches and supporters, attending the tournament, from across South East Wales, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, there is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to advertise to a large audience (I will let you do the maths for potential exposure).

We are keen to have individual sponsors for each age group competition (£50) with further opportunity, on the day, to display your banners / put flyers on parked cars, strategically place vans etc.

There is also an opportunity to advertise in the tournament programme and add links to tournament website (prices to follow).

We would also be interested in discussing any other opportunities for promoting your business through the tournament to our joint benefit.
