The stage play tells the story of one of the most famous TV cooks we have ever had and her relationship with her husband. Fittingly as the subject os food, it includes a two course meal served in the theatre, which is being provided by UGO’s restaurant in Monnow Street.
Head chef Eric sees the provision of hundreds of meals to the audience as a fascinating challenge. “I have to make lots of prawn cocktails and Chicken Diamond Jubilee, and we will be catering for vegetarians too. Serving an audience in a theatre will be an interesting proposition but one I am looking forward to.”
The dinner/theatre experience which has already toured Bristol has been described by the Evening Post as “Brilliant” and Venue Magazine as “A joyous piece of theatre”
The show is on Saturday September 14th and the fully inclusive cost is £25 a head. Parties of 4 will be treated to a free bottle of wine.
