Underneath this there is also an option for you to add an event yourself. This is a service that The Best of Monmouth provides free for all not-for-profit organisations and business members of thebestof. We want as many local people in Monmouth as possible to know what their town has to offer them, which is why we find out what’s going on and put it all in one place for you to find easily. Even if you don’t want to or don’t have the time to put your events up yourself, you can email them to us at whatson@bestofmonmouth.co.uk. All you need to do is send us the details, along with where it is taking place and an image to use of possible, and we will do the rest!

This is a really integral part of what we do at thebestof and reviews really mean a lot to businesses! This is all still part of our Buy Local Week campaign. Even though Buy Local Week has ended, the campaign hasn’t! We still want everyone to support our small independent retailers. It is a lot harder for small retailers to survive than chain stores, which is why we need to try our best to support them! As you wander through town you will see our blue Buy Local stickers in many shop windows. These are the businesses that really believe in our Buy Local campaign and we want to give something back to them by trying our best to buy our items locally rather than online.
On the right hand side you will see our offers of the day section. This is a widget that ticks over with offers that we have from our business members. You will be surprised by the amazing offers the businesses in your town have for you! Many of these offers you won’t find anywhere else than on our website so it really is worth a look. Why pay more when you just don’t have to? If you’re thinking of going out for a meal, have a look at what offers are on first. For example, The Coach House is currently offering a free pudding when you have lunch there!
Living in Britain we all know how unpredictable the weather can be from day to day. This is why we now have a weather widget. With this widget you can flick through the weather forecast for the current day and the days coming up specifically in Monmouth right at your fingertips. If you have interesting topics to talk about we would love to hear it through our blog section. It’s so simple to become a blog author and it’s a chance to really get your voice heard!
Next to this you’ll find a section called featured businesses. This is where you will find the best businesses in Monmouth. All these businesses are here because they have been recommended by local people. This is how you can be assured to get great service as people who have used them first hand have recommended them to you! You can also find these businesses through ‘the best local businesses’ tab. If you hover over this heading you will get a drop down menu of all the different categories you could be looking for. For example, if you’re looking for financial services, you’ll be given a list of all the best businesses in Monmouth that could help you with this.
And finally the, what local people say section. This is where business reviews will pop up. These are reviews from local people about local businesses. If you add a review for a business this is where it will come up. It shows that local people are engaged with the businesses in their town and really want to tell them how good they are!
