After a tiring day in the office, l went to pick my partner up in Neath and we decided to call into the Eastern Promise Chinese Restaurant after noticing it is under new management.
A warm welcome was given the moment we stepped through the door, friendly faces greeted us and we were quickly shown to our table. The polite waiter was able to give us an in depth description of ingredients and cooking techniques of each of our menu choices. The generous portions of the mixed appetisers left us wondering if we would have the room for the courses to follow. The satay chicken skewers left nothing to be desired, but with a leisurely glass of wine between courses and with no pressure to move onto the next dish we were able to indulge ourselves in our love for Chinese food.
This hidden gem offers excellent value for money, extensive evening service and is a great asset to Neath's town centre. For truly inspirational Chinese cuisine l highly recommend visiting Jake and the team at the Eastern Promise, it certainly lived up to its promise, and our table is already booked for next week.
