Life has seemed a long round of social ocassions for me just the last two days with breakfast at LLanelli. a marketing course and the Best of Neath event. So is this a good way to gain new business? Probably it depends on what you do and who your targetted customers or clients are. But I can tell you that there is another side to this networking and that is just meeting like minded people
Many of us work alone or manage a small business where we have no-one to talk with on a level field, where we can talk about successes and even sometimes failure with those who might have had the same experiences. Whether at a BNI, 4Networking, Unibus or even a small training workshop this aspect is possibly as important as seeking out new business.
Or am I wrong? What do you think? Do you actually feel that you can have too much networking That it might not work for you? That there are better ways to generate business? Or that you can have an inbalance on your work/life style. At Unibus we've a speaker on just this at our next meeting on 26th June at Swansea University, so I'd be very grateful for any feed-back. Do get involved.
Can I help you? If so call me.
