There are some great, affordable places to party this year for Christmas. 2008 brings us the Farndon Boathouse They have a great menu leading up to Christmas with a Christmas gig list which includes Urban Intro, Herb birds, Jason Hart and Richie Muir. Respecitvely; a four piece band, a female duo, a solo performer (classical ballads and indie anthems) and acoustic solo artist (one of the finest in the Midlands) Our business club (BNI) is booked to go on the 17th December forour Christmas Party. Really looking forward to it - I think we are dining to Jason Hart. Relaxed acoustic guitar cover songs from the Kinks to the Kooks.
The Farndon Boathouse, formerly known as the New Ferry Restaurant, has been converted into a cool bar and eatery. Warehouse-style lighting, chunky exposed roof trusses, live music making it a buzzing new venue and the place to be in Newark.
