Well we are nearly there - that ubiquitous day of the year which some have been preparing for all month. My daughter is singing carols to me as I work (mind you that is costing me 20p a carol) and building a fabulous Santa Grotto in her bedroom. The tree is up and we have fairy lights up the stairs and in the garden.
Sunday we both helped out at the Old Aged Pensioner Christmas lunch at the Village Hall and had a 'ball'. My friends Suzy, Catriona and Peter cooked a delicious Christmas dinner and organised a fabulous day of carols, show pieces, raffle and a visit from Santa. There were toasts to the Queen and our soldiers away from home. Money was raised for Help for Heroes and the atmosphere was fantastic.
So with that in mind wishing you all a very happy Christmas and fantastic New Year.
