Pictures drawn by children from the Barnby Road Academy are on public display in Newark for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The pictures are being displayed in the window of Danube Café & Restaurant on Castlegate for the next week, with customers being given the opportunity to vote for their favourite picture.
Ramona Holland, proprietor of Danube, said “the Jubilee is a special event and we thought that it was important for the children to be part of it. They have put a lot of effort into their pictures and we are very proud to display their work.” The family of the winning child will receive a free afternoon tea at Danube Café & Restaurant
