Celtic Gigs are a small non-profit organisation and thebestofnewark and thebestofgrantham have supported them since we first launched.
The Bogtrotters are a mix of Celtic . . . Irish . . . Country . . . Cajun . . . Folk Rock music, and are appearing at Woodland Waters, Woodys Bar, Ancaster, Nr Newark on Saturday 15th November.
The 'Boggies', as they are fondly known, hail from Manchester, gig extensively throughout the UK and play Europe and America. Fantastic individual musicians, together they are sensational. Their musical direction leans mainly towards their own arrangements of traditional Irish and Scottish music and a mixture of country and cajun along with modern material combined with original songs composed by Tim Flaherty and other band members.
And I can also disclose that some of the band recently appeared in the movie Half-Light starring the very youthful Demi Moore.
The Bogtrotters will be supported on the evening by local band 'Waiting in the Wings'.
All this takes place in the delightful surroundings of the Maldon Suite at Woodland Waters, Ancaster. Tickets are £8.00. Doors open 7.30pm. Seats are filling quickly so you will need to get a move on.
