The Peacock Inn nestled in the Vale of Belvoir, near Newark, welcomes the new Michelin trained chef, James Crossman.
James Crossman is a chef of many talents. As well as being part of Gordon Ramsay’s Michelin starred team at Claridges for two years, runner up in the Nottingham Restaurant Awards’ Young Chef of the Year Award in 2005, nominated for the Best Local Produce Menu award in 2006 and heading the team at Seasons in Nottingham,  you can now find him at The Peacock Inn.
James I am told is a master of pastries, desserts and sauces so all of you with a sweet tooth should get yourselves over to the Peacock and enjoy a spot of self-indulgence. James mantra is to keep it ‘exciting but simple’. He is passionate about British dishes such as the signature slow-braised pork belly with smoked garlic mash, honey-roasted parsnips and Madeira.
At the Peacock James will be able to express himself and create some phenomenal food. A  stellar career including time at the Petite Paris and Hart’s in Nottingham,  will stand James in good stead to bring his expertise and flair to the restaurant at The Peacock.
Dee, the owner of The Peacock Inn, is thrilled to have James on her team and is excited about the new, quality menus that can be enjoyed at this much loved Nottinghamshire Pub Restaurant. My brothers have certainly been earmarked to treat their Mother when they come up from London!
