Excellent lunch, warm and friendly staff. Had the added bonus of meeting Mike, definitely will be paying another visit. Best venison I have had in years, worth travelling from Peterborough. Keep it up.

Having watched Heaven's Kitchen 4 years ago we had made it our intention to one day eat at the Pot Kiln. We finally made the trip from Suffolk to Berkshire recently and the dining experience more than exceeded our expectations. We received a warm welcome from enthusiastic, knowledgable and friendly staff, an excellent selection of real ales were on offer in a cosy and traditional pub environment. Then came the food....well what can we say but Wow! The starters of Crispy Pigs Cheeks with spiced apple puree and Rabbit and Prune Faggots with Parsnip Puree were sensational....so much so that when the waitress came to clear our starters, we booked a table for the following evening! Yet another faultless meal from an excellent chef. Thanks to all for a wonderful dining experience, we are already planning our next visit!

We have become very retiscent about dining out. Controversially, I am of the opinion that standards have fallen over the last 20 years and menus disappointing, despite the media exposure. Michelin star rating is no guarantee either. Having watched Mike Robinson's presentation on how to butcher a deer and importantly cutting a haunch into paves, I have wanted to give the Pot Kiln a try. We were not disappointed even though we had a fair drive from Lincolnshire! Every dish we had was a delight! We were three very happy bunnies. Needless to say we will find opportunities to return. Many Thanks to the staff who looked after us so well.

The food was superb and the prices, for the quality of the food, were very reasonable. The waiters are very attentive and the waiter incharge of out table, Henry, was very warm and well informed about the food that was being served. All in all a very good dining experiance and I would be glad to return.
