Food lovers are in for a feast at this year’s Royal County of Berkshire Show (18-19 September) where over 70 Exhibitors will be offering up the very best of Great British Food.

The Show’s Food Fayre is always popular with visitors and attracts the very best local produce. Everything from cheese; olives; breads; chutneys and sauces to meat; pies; strawberries; wine and coffee is on offer to tempt your tastebuds.

New to the Food Fayre this year is Tutts Clump Cider, who originate from the small hamlet of Tutts Clump between Newbury and Reading. Owner Tim Wale produces his own homemade cider – a traditional farmhouse, medium dry, full juice variety which was a favourite at Reading Festival where over 30 gallons were sold last year!

If Cider isn’t your tipple, don’t miss Lovely Bubbly, who sells quality hand-crafted boutique champagnes from independent producers. Or for an after-dinner drink try Cherizena Coffee Beans, producers of Premium Colombian coffees, including Fair-trade.

Treat yourself to an accompaniment of delicious strawberries and marshmallows dipped through a fountain of Belgian Chocolate at The Chocolate Fondue Company. There’s also beautiful cakes on offer for special occasions at Cakes by Cocochoux, who also teach the art of sugar craft at their base in Kintbury, Berkshire.

For something a little more spicy, pay a visit to Chilliqueen and their award winning range of chilli based condiments or Susie’s Preserves’ jams, jellies, marvellous marmalades and perfect pickles. There’s also fresh cook-in curry sauces, made with authentic ingredients from The Curry Sauce Company.

If you have a penchant for cheese, find Derek Priestley Cheese Monger who stocks a large range of British traditional farmhouse cheese. There’s also The Oxford Cheese Company and Snowdonia Cheese whose special extra mature cheese is aptly called ‘'Little Black Bombes’.

Jimmy’s Farm – always a favourite at Newbury – are back again this year selling their delicious free range, rare breed pork fresh from the Farm. Try Bastable Farm too, the traditional butchers and graziers with their own beef, lamb, handmade sausages, home cured bacon, ham and freshly prepared pies.

Pick up some mouth-watering, warm fresh bread and pastries for lunch from G.W Shepherd & Son’s Bakery or a Hand Made Cornish Pasty from Cornish Fayre.

See the award winning range of Mornflake oat based cereals and Mrs Crimbles’ delicious wheat free cakes and biscuits to try.

Plus dont forget to stop by thebestofnewbury stand where you can try some delicious fayre, compliments of our business members Rosemary & Thyme Catering and The Carnarvon Arms.

Finally, if you’re kitchen is in need of a makeover, look no further than FunkySplash Backs. This innovative company produce bespoke hand painted glass splash backs which are designed to each customer’s individual requirements.

Don’t miss all the other attractions on offer at The Royal County of Berkshire Show, including The Countryside Area; the Vintage Area; Show Jumping and Livestock classes and the main displays from The White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team and The Band and Bugles of The Rifles.
