Last week saw the successful launch of our new, regular evening monthly networking event.
And what a great evening it was! In total 38 people supported the event representing 35 different businesses and it was good to be able to bring together a really interesting mix of bestofnewbury business members and guests.
Our business member and partner, The Newbury Corn Exchange in Market Place, did a fantastic job hosting us for the evening and were able to show what a terrific venue it is, for corporate and social events. Added to which, their appointed caterers and also bestofnewbury business member, Rosemary and Thyme Catering, provided some exceptionally delicious canapes.
The combination of freeform networking, words of wisdom from some interesting and informative guest speakers (and bestofnewbury business members), Nigel Morgan (Morgan PR) and Miriam McCallum (McCallum Associates) plus terrific light entertainment from Jan Jack (Laughterhouse), proved to be an effective, fun and popular format. Needless to say, a glass of wine or two after a hard day of work was a welcome addition!
