December 4th
Thatcham Discovery Centre: Escape the bustle of the high street this Christmas! Visit the Nature Discovery centre to buy handmade gifts and seasonal treats for all your friends and family. Free entry.
Victoria Park Nursery School: A few more Christmas shopping ideas! If you are still looking for a few more ideas for those last minute Christmas gift ideas then browse the stalls on display with gifts such as jewellery, candles, traidcraft, Avon, Jamie at Home, Usbourne books and much more. Refreshments will be available and there will also be a raffle.
December 5th
Ecchinswell and Sydmonton CE Primary School: Christmas Fair: Family fun and entertainment, with a broad range of stalls to buy your Christmas gifts and stocking fillers.
New Greenham Art Fair: This provides a great opportunity to meet with and purchase work direct from the artist. Find that perfect painting to adorn your home or delight your family with a special pottery gift. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the café and browse stalls of jewellery, ceramics, paintings, prints, sculptures and greetings cards and make a great Christmas purchase
Kenneth Heath Christmas Market: In the heart of Thatcham, this market at the Moorside Community centre will have Father Christmas, a petting zoo and many stall of christmas gifts.
Newbury Farmers Market: Run by the Thames Valley Farmers' market Co-operative the aim is to bring fresh locally grown produce directly from the farmer to the consumer. The market offers the very best in seasonal produce - perfect for entertaining at this time of year.
Christmas at Shaw House, Newbury: There will be lots of festive cheer at Shaw House with sing along carols from the Speenhamland Ladies Choir, lots of craft stalls, festive games and activities, Indian scarves, jams, cakes, cards and jewellery.
December 7th & 8th
Highclere Castle Christmas Fair: The recent setting for the TV series Downton Abbey and ancestral home of he Carnarvon Family, Highclere Castle is hosting a two day Christmas Fair in aid of theThames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust and St. Michael & All Angels' Church, who will recive 10% of the proceeds. Shoppers will be able to browse a selection of stalls throughout the State Rooms of the castle, whilst enjoying the sounds of carol singers and bell ringers performing in front of an open fire.
December 10th
Hungerford Victorian Christmas Extravaganza: Relive Christmas of old in the town centre of Hungerford. The day starts early with traders dressed in traditional costume setting up shop, to create a bustling street scene of traders and entertainers. The the official opening taking place at 5pm, followed by a grand parade at 7.30 to include Father Christmas.
