Life sized plastic horses will be popping up across Newmarket next Summer as part of a new public art competition.
Inspired by a similar initative that took place at the American Horseracing Centre in Kentucky, 'Horse About Newmarket' will invite local artists and school pupils to decorate the horses, as well as the chance for local businesses to sponsor their favourite design.
A hit with local residents stateside, the competition hopes to draw new visitors to Newmarket as a result of its horse racing heritage.
